7. What are you doing the rest of your life - por Shirley Bassey

Essa música composta por Michel Legrand pode ser considerada na categoria premium dentro do mundo fonográfico pois já a interpretaram, só para falar do primeiríssimo time (e que não está completo) Bill Evans, Frank Sinatra, Barbra Streisand, Mel Tormé, Oscar Peterson, Joe Pass, Stan Kenton, Dinah Shore, Shirley Bassey. É dessa última, no entanto, a gravação que mais me gratifica, entrando assim no meu time de favoritas sem prejuízo das demais. Pois a combinação da pronúncia britanicamente pedante de Ms. Bassey aliada ao seu timbre metálico fazem um contraste com o lirismo da letra que me enchem a alma de estímulos dos mais variados. Como acontece com Ruby My Dear, do Monk (já listada aqui), também me sinto bem melhor depois de ouví-la.
