Having written over 300 songs recorded by artists SARAH VAUGHN, CHICAGO, DIZZY GILLESPIE, OSCAR PETERSON, RAMSEY LEWIS, DAVE BRUBECK, TOOTS THIELEMANS, JOE PASS, JOHNNY MATHIS, BEBEL GILBERTO, JOE WILLIAMS ELIANE ELIAS, EUMIR DEODATO, JOAO DONATO and so many more, he is among Brazil's most important talents.
VALLE has toured the world at major Festivals and concert halls from England to Japan to China, to Australia to packed houses. He has received numerous awards for his songwriting, one of them from BMI for his music SAMBA DeVerao, which, in Brazil, only GAROATA DE IPANEMA by TOM JOBIM and VINICIUS DE MORAIS has been so granted. VALLE's SONGBOOK consisting of two CD's of his biggest successes had singers CAETANO VELOSO, MARIA METHANIA, CHICO BUARQUE...And frequent composing partner, called a "God" in Brazil, is ROBERTO MENESCAL. Valle's new CD FAROUT has ben released in Japan and Europe along with tours and is soon to be released n Brazil, considered one of the best of his career.
MARCOS VALLE presents his Special Guest, WANDA SA whose sound has been one of the foundations that sustains and renews universally the "Bossa Nova". She grew up along with BossNova, from girl to woman. Together, it is a brilliant pairing of highly talented musicians who compose and perform, their first engagement together in the US.
WANDA SA, Vocalist and Guitarist, is one of the greatest and most important interpreters of her generation having performed on stage with the great ROBERTO MENESCAL, CARLOS LYRA, DONATO, VALLE, JOYCE, LUIS CARLOS VIMHAS, OS CARIOCAS and more...some of Brazil's most important artists. In the 60's living in the US, Wanda Sa was part of Brazil '65 with SERGIO MENDEZ, JORGE BEN, ROSINHA DE VALENCA, TIAO NETO and CHICO BATERA. She has a brilliant continuing career working alongside the 'elite' musicians/composers of Brazil. This year with "Power Trio", her musical group, she performed in Tribute to the Maesro Helvius Vilela, also perfomred by Danilo Caymmi, Miucha, Emilio Santiago, Carlos Lyra, and Marcos Valle.

Sou fa do Marcos Valle e da Wanda , e pelo que li, estará la tambem o Jesse Sadock, e o Renato Massa...

Wanda é uma exceção vocal em meio a tanta coisa ruim: divisão, afinação, balanço, beleza vocal, tudo.
Tão simples quanto sensacional.
Não sei se dá vontade de rir ou de chorar, pensando como a vida seria melhor se fosse obrigatório tocar isso todos os dias de manhã nas escolas de TODO o País.
Enquanto isso o vosso Governo se esforça ENORMEMENTE em produzir uma bobagem maior, a cada dia.

Mas minha esperança é que até uma alma perdidaça em todos os sentidos como a dela possa ser tocada por uma beleza desse tipo.
Eu até faria uma daquelas pesquisas que os japas fazem com camundongos/as naqueles labirintos: um grupo tentaria sair a seco; outro, depois de ouvir essa maravilha por algumas horas.
No final, acho que o segundo grupo até flutuaria por cima dos "pobremas".
Mas, como é impossível, deixemos quieto.
